Q:What devices will work with the amaran App?

A: All Sidus Mesh enabled lights from amaran and Aputure will pair with the amaran App. Some features on Aputure fixtures will not be available, like  Motorized Yoke Control and electronic control of electric Aputure Mount accessories. Those features will be only be in Sidus Link.  

Q: How do I save a look that I have created?

A: To save a look you can create a Shortcut. A Shortcut allows users to save an entire setup, with the parameters of each light fixture, so you can quickly recall and shift between different lighting plans. You are also able to edit these settings after creation allowing perfect setups as you go. 

Q: Do I have to use Scenes in the amaran App?

A: Scenes are an organization tool within amaran App. You can connect all your devices and use them right away in the Device Menu but, when it comes to managing a frequently used setups it would be best to manage them in the Scenes Menu. You can use the same paired device in multiple scenes without any issues.

Q: I am having trouble pairing my lights, how can I try to resolve this?

A: First check and make sure you have reset Bluetooth on the fixture you are trying to pair with. If that doesn’t help you may have to check for a Firmware update as your firmware may not be compatible. To do this, pair the fixture with Sidus Link and perform a Firmware Update. After firmware has been updated, try pairing again with the amaran App again.

Q: Will this pair with my Stream Deck?

A: Yes, amaran Desktop is compatible with Steam Deck via a plug you can download from the Stream Deck Store or from our website.
